Vanessa Lin McGraw, AMFT

Hello and welcome. You might be navigating a major life transition and feeling overwhelmed. Or perhaps you want to address an issue that’s been put aside for years. Maybe you simply desire a space for support as you grow. Whatever brought you here, I hope to accompany you towards greater well-being.

I see adult individuals, couples, and families. My practice includes working with parents through pregnancy and postpartum. I cherish this time because I’ve seen it offer opportunities for deep healing and connection. I also provide dyadic play therapy for very young children and their caregivers. As a mother of two, I know the delight and chaos of parenting little ones.

People who work with me say my calm presence puts them at ease. I am both gentle and direct. My approach focuses on early attachment and attending to mind, heart, and body through somatic methods. My clients expand their imaginations for change and are more present to joy in their lives. I value exploring how cultural and racial dynamics impact us and love working with people of color and multiracial families. As a person of faith, I am happy to incorporate spirituality into therapy based on interest.

I am a Registered Associate Marriage and Family Therapist (#141456) supervised by Livia Ondi, LMFT. I completed training in perinatal mental health and infant-parent psychotherapy with the UCSF Infant-Parent Program at Zuckerberg San Francisco General Hospital. I earned my Masters in Counseling Psychology at the University of San Francisco.

You may contact me at (415) 562-5394 or vanessalinmcgraw.therapy@gmail.com for a complimentary consultation call to see if working together might be a good fit. I hope this is a step towards a fuller life.
